The DBPR Education and Testing Bureau has received information from the real estate testing vendor that has surprised many veteran brokers: Students who took the online course did significantly better on the state exam than students who took their courses in the classroom. The figures were for approximately 1,200 test-takers in the April, 2013 exams, and showed that 67 percent of online students passed the exam the first time vs. 48 percent of classroom students passing the exam. While this is a small sample, the numbers make it statistically significant.
